Respite care is short term care that gives primary caregivers a break from demands of constant care. Those who care for others who are chronically ill, memory impaired, suffer a terminal illness or disabling injury can arrange in advance to have us take care of their loved one for a week or two so they can catch up on household duties or go on vacation. As with all our patients, respite care patients receive a full medical assessment when they join us so that we can provide appropriate care. The type of respite care provided depends on the needs of the individual.
